Job Description

Our company is looking to accelerate our rate of development by adding a Backend Engineer. We will be building a large-scale web service from the ground up and are looking for individuals who have experience with Node.JS, MongoDB, Redis, as well as other backend technologies to design, architect, and implement it with us.



Since you will be helping us build this service from its foundations, you will enjoy a large amount of control over the codebase. You will work closely with fellow engineers to ensure that the service is scalable, user-friendly, and effective.



Key Skills

• JavaScript, Node.JS, Git


• Experience working with and designing REST APIs


• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, in particular, MongoDB


• Experience with Redis


• Object-oriented design, design patterns, service-based architecture


• Strong problem-solving skills (in particular, data structures and algorithms)
  
   

• Experience with Python (especially using Flask, Django, requests, etc)


• Scalable deployment solutions, in particular: Docker, Kubernetes


• Experience with React and/or other frontend frameworks (Angular, etc)


• Experience with building high volume, high availability services


• Expertise with writing Unit/Integration tests in any framework
