Responsibilities



A well-rounded Java Programmer will work remotely with a team mix of developers, Business and Quality Analysts, Project Manager and Scrum Masters in an Agile scrum environment to modernize the Java components, new requirements, and modules on a long-term government project. The development environment consists of JEE, Web Services, WebLogic, and Oracle.

• Analyze and design functionality based on business requirements.


• Write technical specifications for new functionality.


• Implement and develop based on technical specifications and requirements.


• Interact with scrum team on daily basis and business stakeholders on weekly basis. Effective communication skills are required.


• Collaborate with Quality Assurance for testing.
  
   

A Qualified Candidate Must

• Have a BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related area or equivalent work experience.


• Minimum Five (5) years of experience in designing and developing complex software applications.Have an understanding of Oracle.


• Have a solid understanding of JEE.

• Experienced with the following technologies: Java/JEE, Spring, Hibernate, JSF, Maven, JMS, JAX-WS, XML, Oracle DB development, SQL Server programming, Web Development, HTML, Object Oriented Programming, WebLogic, JSP, JavaScript & the HTML DOM, CSS and cross-browser limitations, JasperSoft Reporting.
  
   

A Qualified Candidate Should

• Have some consulting experience


• JEE certification preferred


• Have some experience developing with multiple programming languages


• Have strong understanding of Object-Oriented Architectures


• Have experience working within Agile scrum teams


• Have solid experience developing with the Java EE stack


• Have some understanding of OLTP databases


• Have some experience developing responsive applications for multiple devices
