Oracle Apps DBA
Overview:
This position will be responsible for operational data management support of various data sets. The analyst will be part of a diverse team of IT professionals and business users working to deliver decision making tools that are critical to our client's business, including Data Management analytics to enable health monitoring and optimization. The ability to integrate into an existing team and quickly learn new tools will be critical.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining quality data by performing operations such as cleaning, transformation and ensuring Integrity in a relational environment
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the design, development and maintenance scripts for existing and new data sources utilizing various integration technologies
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Collaborate with ETL developers and IT team members to meet business requirements
- Works well under times of intense pressure and adheres to tight deadlines and able to prioritize requests and multi-task with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve data related problems and integration with systems such as IP.21, Wellview, and GGRE data sources.
- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality while ensuring systems meet business requirements and company best practices
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Basics/Required:
- 8+ years in IT
- 8+ years SQL knowledge to include querying and performance tuning
- 6+ years of experience with PL/SQL and Oracle
- 1+ years of experience with programming practices.
Preferred:
- Database Administration experience
- Teradata, Oracle or Hadoop experience
- Experience programming in languages such as Python and/or R programming
- General understanding of Upstream data types and how they are related
- Upstream business knowledge and business acumen
Experience: Oracle / PL SQL: 6 years (Preferred)
- SQL knowledge to include querying and performance tuning: 8 years (Preferred)
