Job Overview

 is seeking a senior level network engineer to help build and maintain its next generation software-defined network supporting future 5G and mobile edge computing workloads at massive scale. The candidate should expect and thrive in a highly dynamic environment on a small team whose responsibilities will range from network design to implementation, operations, and support including customer-facing system.

Prior experience in a large backbone carrier, internet service provider, or mobile network is highly preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborating with network architects and engineers to design and implement and maintain the Kinetic Edge network


• Assist with day to day network maintenance to include installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting.


• Troubleshoots network(s), infrastructure, or application issues, identifies root cause, establishes return to service, evaluates/develops/implements/documents mitigation strategies.


• Monitor, review, analyze, performance tune, and make recommendations that will result in continued optimization of the network.


• Evaluate new security technologies to better improve efficiencies, security posture and meet business objectives


• Contribute in creating process, policy and troubleshooting documentation according to company standards.

• Expert level understanding and ability to implement optical networking. CWDM, DWDM, ROADM and other Optical technology


• Expert-level knowledge of various vendor-specific optical products such as Ciena, Infinera, and Adva


• Expert-level ability to troubleshoot optical networking issues, use of optical testing tools


• Strong level knowledge of a variety of transport technologies including MPLS and VXLAN/EVPN


• Strong level knowledge of BGP and BGP traffic engineering techniques


• Strong level knowledge of internal routing protocols such as OSPF and IS-IS


• Ability to leverage open source automation and orchestration for management of a heterogeneous network environment. SALT, NAPALM, Ansible, Puppet


• Strong network documentation skills


• Strong Python background


• Strong level knowledge of Juniper Routing and Switching hardware


• An understanding of LTE and 5G network protocols and operations


• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience


• Industry certifications such as JNCIE preferred but not required.
