Go Deeper: In this role, you will make an impact through the following responsibilities:

• Build standards, patterns, and tools that help engineers in other squads make effective use of infrastructure


• Consult with other squads in a Site Reliability Engineer capacity to help them make use of infrastructure effectively


• Configure and manage our software defined networking capabilities including VPCs, firewalls, and routing


• Configure and maintain core shared services like kubernetes clusters, databases, and CI/CD systems


• Support the delivery of high-performance, scalable applications written primarily in node and python


• Help harden our production monitoring and alerting systems


• Assist in crafting incident management and release coordination processes


• Mentor less experienced members of the team through pair-programming and empathetic code review

The Details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for our mission and have the following skills:

• Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure


• Experience with Docker and Jenkins


• Experience with monitoring systems (like Grafana and Sentry) and web application firewalls


• Familiarity with React and Django are a plus


• Experience with server hardware and colocation a plus


• Always looking to make systems more efficient, faster and cheaper


• Fast learner with an ability to work collaboratively
