We are searching for an Operations Engineer(Remote) to be part of a team that is responsible for maintaining the integrity and uptime ofServices and systems. In addition you will be contributing to the building and maintaining continuous deployment pipelines and internal tools leveraging the latest technology. You will leverage your technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills to help build reliable, repeatable and maintainable infrastructure while addressing technical issues and monitoring our core applications and services.

Responsibilities

● Manage the availability of  infrastructure and services

● Identify opportunities to improve process, tooling and solutions

● Collaborating with the team on executing on those opportunities to improve

● Identify, collaborate, plan and execute cloud migrations where possible

● Maintain internal documentation

● Monitoring of key application and operational metrics with appropriate response

● Administration of middle tier technology and services

● Administer all  infrastructure including Linux servers, cloud solutions and applications

● Fault management and resolution

● 24/7 rotating on-call duty

 

Minimum qualifications

● 4+ years experience in system administration duties

● 2+ years of relevant work experience in a SaaS environment

● Good technical knowledge in a linux environment

● Good technical problem troubleshooting and resolution skills and able to work tasks concurrently

● Sound written, verbal and documentation skills

● Thorough, calm and effective under service impacting situations

● Ability to work, collaborate, brainstorm and solve problems in a cross functional environment

● Sound experience in application to application communications

● Experience with configuration management tools (chef, puppet, ansible)

● Python and Bash scripting skills

 

Preferred qualifications

● 2+ years experience in cloud providers (AWS, google, azure, etc)

● 2+ years experience with MySQL

● Experience in application monitoring

● Basic understanding of networking
