Software Engineer (Remote - Austin, TX)

Engineering Process and SDLC



Collaborate in the Release and Sprint planning processes to assist in the definition of project scope, objectives, work estimates, financial budgets and project schedules. Maintain accurate, daily updates of progress to Scrum team. Collaborate with the Product Engineering leadership team to identify process improvement opportunities. Mentor software engineers by providing expert guidance for solving technical problems and the achievement of quality goals. Measure progress toward goals and revise work plan accordingly. Proactively identify and relay issues affecting project status to Scrum team and management and offer solutions to solve the issues. Foster a participative, collaborative work environment.



Requirements:

 


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalency (CS, CE, CIS).

  • 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience with focus on:

    • Micro-services

    • .NET SQL Server

    • AngularJS

    • HTML5

    • Chef/Ansible/Docker/Kubernetes

    • Experience building RESTful API's



  • Experience working on a cross-functional Scrum team

  • Knowledge of architectural patterns (IoC, MvvM, etc.)

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required

  • Experience building and supporting mission critical Enterprise applications, running in a highly distributed manner

  • Exposure to application security technologies and approaches

  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and standards

  • Passion for building end-user software with rich user experience that delights
