We are looking for a talented Senior WordPress developer to join a team of outstanding in-house developers as to expand our capacity and skillset. The role is responsible for designing, creating and implementing web applications, advertising and other interactive products using primarily WordPress and a variety of other web technologies. The Senior WordPress Developer will also work with end users, the digital team and other developers to provide support to the design and analyse problems and develop short and long-term solutions 

**Principle Responsibilities: **

● Developing customised, often complex WordPress-based solutions. 

● Conducting Web project planning. 

● Providing leadership in finding/developing new technologies/methods. 

● Performing server maintenance and monitoring. 

● Web development and implementation. 

● Providing advanced technical support. 

**Desired Skills and Qualifications: **

● In-depth knowledge of WordPress, PHP , jQuery, AJAX, Restful Web Services and SQL. 

● Strong PHP back-end development skills 

● Expert WordPress knowledge and extensive experience. 

● Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) a plus. 

● Knowledge of change control systems, specifically Git, a plus. 

● Excellent analytical skills with positive problem-solving attitude. 

● Solid skills with WordPress theme and plugin development. 

● Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent).

● Proficient in HTML, DHTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP , and CGI.

● Intermediate working knowledge of web application technologies (GitHub, MySQL, JQuery, AJAX, Laravel, AngularJS).

● Understanding of web servers and how to co-ordinating technical solutions with hosting companies. 

Minimum Requirements:   

● Bachelor degree in related field or comparable experience in the web development required.

● Substantial experience of WordPress and PHP framework development.

● Working experience in similar technological environment.
