Developer Advocate

As a Developer Advocate, you will be an integral part of our Developer Experience efforts, and you will have a hand in areas such as the following:

-Evangelism and relations

-Thought leadership

-User education

-User research

In this role, you can expect to be...

-Building and fostering an external community ecosystem of influencers, meetups, and experts to amplify and extend our reach.

-Helping us grow and maintain a healthy user community by producing developer-focused content, revamping and owning our documentation, engaging developers on social networks like Stack Overflow/GitHub, and driving our presence at conferences, meetups, hackathons, etc.

-Participating in industry discussion taking place on social media.

-Building and sharing projects which showcase our technology by building on top of it.

-Delivering compelling presentations, product demos, sample solutions, and discussions to drive adoption of and engagement with Crossplane.io and company.

-Creating and distributing content for our blog, website, technical docs, and more.

-Building out analytics for product usage and website engagement to optimize to sales, marketing, and product adoption funnel.

-Acting as the voice of users and developers to help us continually refine the our value propositions and messaging.

-Actively participating in open source projects and being a member of the open source community.

You are a good fit if you have...

-Experience developing in a modern software language. We code primarily in Go, so Go experience is a big plus

-An ear to the ground on all mediums whether it be Twitter, Slack, etc., listening for problems and offering timely and elegant solutions.

-Experience publicly advocating an open source project and nurturing Open Source communities

Involved with the Product and UX team to identify user personas, and convert problems to solutions.

-A heavy track record of speaking at technology conferences, blogging/writing technical articles, and/or contributing to a popular open source project.

-Experience in one or more of the following systems: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Amazon Web Services, Azure, GCP, Terraform

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the desire to share technical knowledge and information with others.

-The ability to work closely with people in a wide variety of disciplines from a wide variety of backgrounds.
