Senior Salesforce Engineer
We are seeking a strong, senior software engineer to drive the expansion and integration of our sales operations and customer opportunity platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a highly available and scalable platform, using our foundational Salesforce instance to streamline all-important journey of Roku partners (e.g., publishers and advertisers) throughout their journey, to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business.
- Work directly with end users to support reporting and administrative needs.
- Work with management, business SME's and end-users to develop and transform requirements into systems design and implementation
- Work with management, business SME's and end-users to create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation, and triggers
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of our Salesforce system architecture and development best practices, to scale an instance supporting global users across multiple business units.
- Maintain and evolve existing Salesforce codebase.
- Write maintainable code with extensive test coverage, working in a professional software engineering environment (with source control, release cycle and continuous deployment.
- Design and develop APIs and Services needed for platform development.
- Own complete features, collaborating with both the product team and peers to define technical directions and designs, identifying and making practical trade-off s.
- Collaborate with PMO/Scrum team to plan and commit at the sprint and release level.
- Ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of the project.
- Contribute to infrastructure and process improvement within development organization. Institute and adopt best engineering practices.
- Configuring user profiles, role hierarchy, sharing rules and security
- Create and maintain system documentation
- Communicate and apply future Salesforce releases and enhancements. Provide recommendations to improve the release process including implementing automation where possible
- Work with the team to develop and implement recommendations for process improvements and resolutions to difficult operational and technical issues
- Support and improve the existing software development life cycle including design, development, testing (QA and UAT) and deployment
Required Skillsets:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration and customization (e.g., APEX, Visualforce, Lightning, etc.) and BS/MS in Computer Science, or a related degree.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Salesforce data loading tools, web services, middleware (e.g., Dell Boomi, Informatica, etc.).
- Excellent communicator and collaborator; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-driven, and make practical trade-offs when necessary.
- Experience in design and development of data models and data integrity checks.
- Experience with scaling / performance tuning of highly available systems and services.
- Able to work through ambiguous requirements to make progress and evolve the platform.
- Salesforce Administration experience and certification strongly preferred
- Sales Cloud and Service Cloud experience
- Provide end-user support for Salesforce.com issues including system configuration and system maintenance
- Ability to create custom applications, configuration, analysis, data loading, workflows
- Proven ability to design and implement new processes
- Integration with other platforms; ServiceNow, SharePoint/Teams, etc.
Desired Skillsets:
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
- AWS experience.
- Use of version control and continuous delivery systems.
