We’re looking for a Senior Cloud Native Architect to design and develop cloud-native applications on AWS; the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS, excellent knowledge of cloud architecture, and extensive experience designing various cloud-native solutions.

What’s the role?

As a Cloud Native Architect, you will be responsible for designing state-of-the-art cloud-based solutions that maximise the use of cloud-managed services and adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

You will work with the wider operations team to architect and develop solutions for external client projects, and internal projects such as project accelerators. You will mentor developers through their AWS certifications and develop their cloud-native development skills.

You will be responsible for:

• Architecting solutions for our clients on AWS, analysing tradeoffs and costs


• Developing, testing and delivering software applications on AWS


• Keeping abreast of AWS developments and how they impact and our clients


• Knowledge sharing of blueprints and best practices, both internally in our company and also to our clients


• Pushing the art of the possible for AWS cloud-native development


• Evolving our cloud-native accelerator to adapt it to our customers' needs


• Mentoring cloud-native developers within our company.

• Proven software development experience 


• History of working in a high performing software development teams


• Proven expertise in AWS serverless development and event-driven architectures


• Deep knowledge of javascript (node.js) and/or java and/or python 


• Broad experience of AWS services 


• Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform)


• AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect


• Experience working in an agile development environment


• You may also be required to travel for project kick-offs, meetups and some sales support.
