Skills and experience you should possess:

Solid understanding of the web platform and how browsers work.

Solid understanding of the fundamental web platform technologies.

(HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, etc.)

Experience building rich web applications with current front-end frameworks/libraries.

(e.g. Vue, React, Angular, etc.)

Experience with browser-based technologies to create graphically rich interfaces.

(e.g. WebGL, SVG, D3.js, etc.)

Familiarity with architectural patterns and tools used to build modern web applications.

(e.g. Single Page Applications, Restful APIs, GraphQL etc.)

Desire to explore and work with the latest web technologies.

(e.g. ES6+, WebAssembly, etc.)

Experience profiling and debugging web applications.

Experience providing guidance around frontend best practices, and proposing and exploring new frameworks/libraries for teams.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Skills and experience that would be beneficial (or you have a desire to learn):

Prior experience with data warehousing, data modelling and ETL tools.

Knowledge of good visual design principles / visual communication.
