Python / Django CMS Mentor

I’m looking for an experienced Python programmer, who will serve as a mentor to our back-end devs and help us in two ways:

1. Help us move through possible bottlenecks (when someone gets stuck with a given problem and can either get expert guidance and move forward within an hour or a day, or spend a month on figuring this particular problem on their own)

2. Help the said devs grow, by providing the help in point 1 in a way that makes them learn the way of dealing with similar issues in the future.

We are updating our Django-CMS-based website  to a newer version of Django and are upgrading some parts of the website (both: back- and front-end), while getting rid out of most of them. Front-end-wise we're going to use bootstrap.

We would start this job with our explanation of what’s going on in the code in general and with the first problem, and then the job would continue on an as-required basis. So, initially it would probably be a few days, and then a few hours per week - per month. So, it is essentially a long-term contract with only 5 - 20 hours per month.

Requirements:

- extensive experience in Python and Django

- experience in: GIT, POSTGRESQL, Linux, REST API, Django CMS

- experience in teaching (not necessarily in case of IT concepts, the point is to know how to guide someone else and quickly lead them to discover the solution on their own, so that they can efficiently grow)

- at least basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS

- please start the message with “Hello there,” and nothing else, so that I know that you read the entire description before applying. I will ignore messages that don’t start with it. Bonus points for providing the only correct reply in the parentheses right after it :)

Thank you
