We are looking for a Senior Node.js API Developer to spearhead our  backend work.



We have a small team of two on the tech side -- the cofounder and a senior front-end developer. This job therefore presents a rare opportunity to be a core member of a post-revenue early stage startup. This hire will take leadership on the back-end and grow with our team. The ideal hire will be curious, ambitious, and have a true love of technology.

---- Work Details



This is a long-term, full-time contractor position (40 hours / week).



---- Job Duties



The back-end developer primary duty will be the redesign, maintenance, development, and documentation of our REST API. (S)he will update / modify any back-end infrastructure (e.g. database, redis, etc) as needed. (S)he will further develop this API as we build out new features.



(S)he will also perform a number of back-end tasks that are tangential to -- but rely on -- the API. Such examples include automating backups, syncing mailchimp users, auto-generating Anki flashcards, working on back-end internal tools, etc.
