Description:

The Backend Engineer will primarily be responsible for building key product features and, secondarily, maintaining the cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Write structured, tested, and maintainable code.


• Iterate on existing product features.


• Assist in the maintenance of our cloud infrastructure.


• Participate in regular hackathons to build interesting projects outside of the product roadmap.


• Participate in the code review process to share knowledge and ensure a high quality.


• Participate in daily standup process (written standup + video unblocking call).


• Participate in regular scrum meetings (story time, task grooming, sprint planning, monthly retrospectives)

• 5+ years of experience working with backend technologies.


• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with engineering, product, operations, sales, marketing, and management teams.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Proficiency working with relational databases such as Postgres.


• Proficiency working with at least one of our specific technologies (Ruby/Rails, Node, Elixir) or another modern web framework such as Python + Django.
