We are looking for a Software Technical Support Engineer.



This person will act as the technical point of contact to fix application and systems issues, and so will have to deal with people both on a business level and IT level of understanding.



Requirements:

  * Strong ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

  * Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack, particularly Python (Django), Javascript (React, Angular).

  * Experience working with dynamic HTML components: AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, XHTML, React, Angular.

  * Ability to read/write/understand/debug complex Python and Javascript

  * 2 - 4 years of SaaS product software application support in a cloud environment (AWS)

  * Ability to work directly with customers to troubleshoot problems and resolve issues.

  * Can communicate in English effectively

  * Can work overlap hours with US Pacific Time. In your cover letter, please indicate how many hours you can work overlapping with normal work hours for Pacific Time.

  * Can work remotely in a distributed team environment

  * Can work independently in a fast paced startup environment



Prefered Skills and Background:

- Computer Science or IT Background. Preferably BS, but equivalent work experience also accepted.

– Solid development skills in Django, Python, React, Angular

- AWS experience

– Experience with RESTful and APIs

– Comfortable using major software development tools (Bitbucket, JIRA, Docker)

– Comfortable working in Agile environment, Scrum/KanBan, CICD.

- Familiarity with the ELK stack, datadog, and similar logging and monitoring tools

- Understanding of basic DevOps concepts and tools.
