Shopify Expert Needed

Our biggest issue is when a customer (that has purchased from us at a past trade show but not since) registers for a pro-account. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we would do an upwards of 10 tradeshows a year using the Shopify POS System. A vast majority of our customers had purchased through us before they ever tried to create a professional account. If a previous customer has made a purchase in the past and then they try to register for a pro-account, Shopify will not allow them to register an account with their info.

If the customer has already made a purchase at a trade show through our POS and then they try to register for a pro-account, Shopify's system will not allow the customer to register. Customer Fields is the app we use for registrations and it won't bypass Shopify's system.

All of this leads to a HUGE headache on the backend! Our customer support team has to delete out information in the customer's original account. Once the customer's original account has been altered then the system will allow the customer to create a pro-account. By doing this we are putting in a lot of manual labor on the back end. And this sometimes leads the customer to not create an account and/or become upset with our customer support team.

We need to figure out a solution that allows all of our previous customers the ability to register for a pro-account without having to manually input or delete their info. We are needing to automate the system so that every customer can update their status, regardless if they have ever had made a purchase. To build our e-commerce, we would like to notify all of our past customers about registering for a new pro account as well.

That is the main issue we are having but we would also like to bring everything together as far as our other apps on the backend. Here is a list of apps we are currently using and their purpose:

Address Validator: Validates Addresses

Constant Contact For Shopify: Syncs up with CC to for email marketing

Customer Fields: Registration

Customer Tagger: Tags customers on anything/everything

Data Export: Exports Data on a set of parameters

Fontify: Customizes Fonts for our store

Locksmith: Locks parts of the store

MinCart: Allows us to set a minimum purchase price for the entire store

OrderlyEmails: Email templates for notifications

PixelPop: Pop Up Banners

Shopify Emails: Email Marketing

Zapier: Automation

KIT: AI Software

We are also having issues setting our shipping prices correctly. Most of the time it charges accurate pricing to the customer but there are situations where our larger orders are not getting charged correctly and we have to pay the extra cost.
