DevOps Engineering

We're looking for a great Python software engineer to help us develop our growing AWS automation platform.  Our clients are household names -- and our services enable them to work more seamlessly with AWS.

Summary

As Serverless Software Engineer, you will be developing leading-edge products leveraging Amazon Web Services’ serverless stack.  This position is primarily backend development of APIs and serverless functions, but familiarity with front-end technologies is a plus.



This position is available remotely from anywhere in the world, provided that the candidate has daily access to a quiet work area with reliable, high-speed Internet connectivity.



Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain and improve APIs, services, and systems

• Debug production issues across services and stacks

• Work with people across the company to build new features

• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

• Interface with external APIs – AWS, partners, and other technology platforms

• Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of every decision

• Propose architectural decisions, and take part in designs, design review and code reviews and implementation

• Optimization of the application for speed and scalability

• Participate in standup meetings.



Skills & Experience

• Relevant of experience in Python development.

• Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, boto3, S3, IAM (policies, roles, assumerole), STS

• PostgreSQL / DynamoDB experience

• Solid git skills

• Experience with Node.js is a plus.

• Experience with Jira / Confluence (or similar tools) in an agile / scrum environment.

• Preferred experience with AWS and/or End-User-Computing Projects.

• Preferred experience with Amazon WorkSpaces (Virtual Desktops) and AppStream 2.0
