Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain APIs, user-facing experiences, services, and systems

• Engineer solutions across systems such as money-movement infrastructure, fraud management systems, and data pipelines

• Assembling, and enabling an incredible team of engineers who have high expectations around ownership, efficiency and impact

• Mentoring and nurturing your team of engineers; supporting their goal setting, achievement and career advancement

• Ensuring appropriate Quality Control systems are in place and adhered too

• Guide project planning and management, including project and software documentation

• Participate in developing the product, overseeing development to ensure it follows the original design and achieves the optimal performance & user experience

• Working closely with our CTO and product team to establish priorities and manage our technical roadmap

The ideal candidate should have the following:

• 5+ years of software development experience and 3+ years of technical leadership experience

• 3+ years experience leading the development of highly scalable systems with strong expertise in event-based systems and serverless architectures

• A background working at startups, especially in areas involving money-movement or ad serving is a bonus

• Management experience building and leading engineering teams

• Ability to understand and work with complex code

• Attention to detail and deep understanding of engineering best practices;

• Experience in test driven development;

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are critical to the role;

• Experience with video encoding and/or ad-creation tech
