Devops engineer to create some health-checks for our Fargate containers

We have 8 different services that we run in Amazon ECS that we want to monitor better. We would like you to build an API endpoint into each service that we can use to confirm the health of the service: "can we run queries against the database?" and "is our cache service responding?"



Our backend services are all written in node.js.



This is the immediate project; but we are wanting to use this as a way to find someone we work with long-term to help improve our platform reliability and uptime and to give them an opportunity to learn our code base and architecture. So we are looking for someone with a good knowledge of nginx, mysql, rabbitmq, gitlab, HAproxy (and other load balancing solutions), AWS and demonstrated experience in making highly-available web solutions. Bonus: Google Cloud, or if you also happen to like front-end or back-end development, let us know that as well.
