Backend Developer / JavaScript Software Engineer / Node.JS, Nest, Typescript, IoT

We are looking for an experienced Backend JavaScript Developer to support the agile development of our web, mobile and cloud applications, build new features and efficient as well as scalable solutions.

We are building the future of autonomous retail and smart inventory management. We are developing a revolutionary IoT Platform and telemetric Smart Kiosks with state-of-the-art smart shelving and monitoring technology, leveraging newest technologies and engineering principles, relying on concepts like automation, autoscaling, resilience, real time monitoring, sensor fusion, computer vision, machine learning and deep Analytics. Our stack consists of modern Javascript, Typescript, Node.Js, React & Redux, Docker, containers, client libraries, GraphQL, all built on a microservice-based Kubernetes architecture, all supported by the strengths of the Google Cloud Platform. We strongly believe in the power of CICD and integrate and deploy our applications with modern CICD tools from Gitlab.

 

You are responsible for

* Architecture and development of modern software-based applications in both the front-end and back-end

* Technological conception, programming and implementation of new features

* Quality assurance of the software through planning, creation and execution of tests

 

Requirements:

* Ability to holistically conceive applications in multiple technologies on both backend and frontend.

* Proficiency in GraphQL, Node.JS, Nest.js, TypeScript

* Experienced with microservices, cloud service management, Kubernetes and Docker on GCP

* Experienced with message brokers like AMQP or MQTT, 

* Experience with test and deployment automation with gitlab and jest

* Ability to work cooperatively and independently, analytical thinking, conceptual work, self-initiative and willingness to take on the responsibility

* Fluent in English

 

Bonus Skills:

* Experience  with online payment processes

* Experience with google cloud platform serverless architectures

* Experience with authentication services for M2M and user authentication

* Understanding of IoT device management and message exchange.
