We are looking for a passionate Infrastructure Engineer who will own the availability, latency, performance, monitoring, and capacity planning of the services you will be looking after. Responsibilities

- Build, operate, and maintain infrastructure

- Respond to and prevent availability incidents

- Design and build alerting systems to monitor infrastructure health and build monitoring services (with tools like Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana)

- Design, build and maintain core infrastructure pieces that scale to support multiple concurrent platform users

- Manage our infrastructure (Chef, Terraform, Kubernetes)

Ensure our platform has reliable, resilient and scalable network architectures to deploy to

- Contribute to best practices for development and deployment needed to deliver on operational targets

- Document every action so your learnings turn into repeatable actions and into automation



Expectations

- Experience scaling cloud-based services in a PaaS or IaaS environment

- Passionate about real-time and large-scale distributed systems

- Demonstrate strong programming skills (Go)

- Instinct to collaborate and communicate as a matter of priority

- Urge to document everything

- Track record of configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform)

- Demonstrable handling of services through containerisation technologies (Docker, Rocket)

- Experience in capacity planning and load testing

- Good knowledge of internet networking and performance
