Senior DevOps Engineer - UNITED STATES ONLY Who We Are Nacelle is an eCommerce Web Service for Jamstack developers. By taking care of complex back-end infrastructure, we help merchants focus on building superior progressive web app shopping experiences. We use GraphQL, Vue (Nuxt), React (Gatsby), AWS, Serverless, and Node.js to accomplish this goal. We are an early stage, venture-backed, fully remote company. Our institutional investors include Index Ventures and Accomplice Ventures. We also have raised from notable angels including leaders from Shopify Plus, Attentive, and Klaviyo.  The Role We are seeking an experienced DevOps engineer who is an expert in AWS. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, a hard worker, has a knack for creative problem-solving, and is a low-ego team player. You will join Nacelle’s Core Product team to develop and build infrastructure for our backend systems. You will work directly with a team of talented engineers who share your passion for well designed, low latency solutions. Candidates must be experts in the following:

• AWS


• SNS & SQS


• Kafka or Kinesis


• NoSQL


• SQL


• Microservice architecture


• CI/CD pipeline


• Security best practices


• Infrastructure deployment best practices


• Logging systems


• QA best practices

• A minimum of five years of working on AWS infrastructure including SQS/SNS, EC2, RMS, DynamoDB, S3


• A minimum of three years of working on AWS Lambda, bonus for experience with the Serverless framework


• A minimum of three years working with the Docker, bonus for Kubernetes experience


• A minimum of three years working with Terraform


• Advanced experience with microservices and event-driven architecture


• Advanced experience with monitoring and logging tools


• Bachelors Degree


• You enjoy contributing to quality assurance efforts

• Node.js and TypeScript experience


• GraphQL Experience


• Work experience in an Agile team
