As a frontend client-side developer you will work closely with designers to implement responsive designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You should be experienced at interpreting static designs for multiple device screens and browsers and always keeping performance in mind. You should also be able to determine when to use complex JavaScript solutions versus simple DOM manipulation.

We are based in Brooklyn, NY but many of its employees are distributed across the continent, and a remote work culture has been part of our DNA for years. As such, you will be expected to work with team leads to create realistic timelines and communicate effectively with your teammates throughout the development process.

Lastly, you should be comfortable working with virtual environments (Virtualenv, VirtualBox, etc.) and experienced debugging application and setup issues locally and remotely.

Command line knowledge

Comfortable interacting with RESTful APIs using command line tools such as curl or HTTPie

Comfortable debugging using application logs, web inspector, etc

Familiarity working within established codebases, i.e. formatting, documentation, and linter configurations
