Requirements

This role requires somebody who has both a strategic approach to QA as well as excellent hands-on abilities. You will need to work autonomously, defining processes and tools needed for QA, but you will also be expected to get involved in other areas of the product development process, so excellent communication skills will be key. The role will be remote; you will need to self-motivated and disciplined to work from home.

 

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:

·         At least 5-6 years of experience working in a QA role, ideally working within a tech start-up or mobile app development environment.

·         Exposure working with product managers collecting feature requirements & defining acceptance criteria for new features

·         Experienced with test design analyzing and prioritizing testing per feature - requirements > acceptance criteria > test scenarios

·         Exposure writing test cases/scenarios

·         Happy to work within a fast-paced environment with a lack of process & structure

·         Ability to voice what QA needs to ensure an end to end testing can happen effectively

·         Exposure to working in a Kanban/agile environment

·         A real passion and knowledge for the latest developments of mobile platforms and technologies

·         Excited by creating and setting up QA processes and tools as well as hands-on testing

·         High attention to detail for finding/reporting bugs

·         Natural inquisitiveness to test beyond a plan

·         Happy to assist with building structure & processes within a startup environment

·         Knowledge of different testing and development processes. i.e; Grey box testing, Black box testing, Destructive/Exploratory testing, User acceptance testing, smoke testing, etc

·         Ability to adapt to new priorities and challenges and willing to learn new technology

·         Exposure to web request/server testing (Jmeter, Charles Proxy or Postman)
