DevOps Engineer [Senior Level]

Our Company is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area. We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer [Senior Level] for a full-time position, remotely supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Job Description:

The JETS Program provides the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA IT Enterprise. Support is provided for information technology solutions, technical support, maintenance, and sustainment; operations support; application development, maintenance and technical support; and lifecycle management. Additionally, the program also supports administrative program management support for IT program offices and DLA Information Operations (J6) Office.  

 

Duties of a DevOps Engineer [Senior Level] may include:

 

·   Drive strategy and oversee architecture of continuous integration and deployment, and monitoring across technologies

·   Define Scrum Agile methodology for large scale clients

·   Lead DevOps methodologies and implement Test Driven Development (TDD) Methodologies

·   Drive automated software development lifecycle toolchain

·   Possess experience with deployments in both on premise and cloud environments

·   Serve as the engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment

·   Use scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems

·   On occasion, short duration (1-5 days) site visits may be required as authorized by the Government.

 

Required Skills / Experience:

·   Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience

o   5+ years Agile experience

o   Demonstrated experience with defining Scrum Agile methodology for large scale clients

o   Demonstrated experience in leading DevOps methodologies

o   Demonstrated experience with implementing Test Driven Development (TDD) Methodologies

o   Demonstrated experience with driving automated software development lifecycle toolchain

o   Demonstrated experience with deployments in both on premise and cloud environments

o   Experience serving as the engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment

o   Experience with DevOps services using infrastructure as a service providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack)

o   Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., TFS, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, LVM)

o   Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket, OpenShift)
