Job Description

We’re looking for backend software engineers to join our small team as we push toward the release of this highly anticipated app. We'll know soon after launch if we are successful, so this is a fail-fast opportunity with a potentially short-term time frame. If all goes well, you could continue helping us build the platform and grow the company that supports it.

With an enthusiastic community already on our side, our systems will need to be scalable, robust, and performant from the start. We’re building primarily on Google Cloud using Go, Spanner, Redis, BigQuery, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Storage, Stackdriver, and App Engine (Flexible).

You will:

- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems. 

- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack. 

- Set engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

You are someone who:

- Enjoys and has experience building APIs, systems, and services. 

- Has a passion for writing high-quality code that’s correct, performant, and clean. 

- Has experience with databases, caching, security, data pipelines, and site reliability engineering. 

- Thrives in a small, fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Experience in the specific technologies and languages we use is helpful but not required. We are more interested in your general engineering skill and excitement to contribute to what we're building.

We’re an early stage company with very strong investors and advisors on board to help us along the way. We’re doing a 4-day work week (Wednesdays off), provide fully paid medical benefits and unlimited vacation days.
