Job Description



We are looking for a developer experienced with Elixir, Phoenix, and JavaScript and interested in expanding into new technologies to join our growing team. Well-qualified candidates have an excellent knowledge of Elixir/Phoenix and JavaScript.



Job Duties

• Understanding and experience using git and GitHub as part of your workflow


• Build and deploy production web applications in Elixir and Phoenix


• Identify, troubleshoot and optimize slow or non-optimal parts of the system


• Enthusiasm for code quality and maintaining codebase and system health


• Regularly practice test-driven development & pair programming


• Comfort with JavaScript and bonus points for experience in client-side frameworks (React, Cycle.js, Vue.js, etc.)


• Knowledge of SQL, including what GROUP BY and LEFT OUTER JOIN do

• Experience working in an agile development process and a design sprint approach


• Experience working on a distributed team (or experience working remotely)


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment


• Desire and passion to change a decades-old industry


• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
