Solution Engineer

The  Solution Engineer is responsible for demonstrating our company real-time integration products and architecture for SAP ERP in the best light to prospects and customers in order to evoke confidence in the company’s technology infrastructure and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, our company must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical pre-sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.

Responsibilities and Vision


  • Provide demonstrations of our company products across various industry verticals.

  • Support the Architect team to build demonstrations based on customer requirements to demonstrate the feasibility of our company product.

  • Will participate in demonstration system design, planning, and configuration requirements if needed.

  • Participate in new product release input, testing, and training of peers.

  • Architect and diagram customer-specific enterprise integrations, based on SAP ERP and SAP integration technology

  • Build/Enhance/Evaluate applications/tools for build, test, deployment automation to meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability and other quality goals.

  • Responsible for highly complex/visible pre-sales and support of our company products/systems.

  • Collaborate with the Product team to deliver compelling demonstrations for current and upcoming integration technologies and product.

  • Understand the customer's needs, and establish the our company product as the best solution that solves the customer's integration challenges·      Provide advanced-level technical support to complex sales presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Build and present customized demos/Proof of Concepts utilizing our company products.

  • Support sales in gathering customer-specific functional/ technical requirements to produce estimates and SOWs.

  • Travel onsite to confidently display our company functionality and architecture (approx. 25-50%)



Requirements and Skills


  • Knowledge of SAP ERP & SAP integration methodologies

  • 3+ years of Solution Engineering/Pre-Sales experience in the SAP ecosystem

  • 3+ years of SAP integration experience

  • Development experience/Salesforce Certifications preferred 

  • Basic programming & development experience in web-based technologies

  • Detail-minded, diligent note-taker based on customer interaction 

  • Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM, ERP, or integration company

  • Demonstrated experience diagramming complex enterprise architectures

  • Salesforce administration experience a plus

  • Knowledge of related applications, relational database, and web technologies

  • Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments

  • bodyB.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
