Job Summary



we are seeking a person to fill the role of Senior Software Engineer. This position will report to the data team lead and will develop, construct, test and maintain architectures including databases and processing systems. This person will also need to solution and and oversee ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.



Required Job Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a software engineering role


• Python, Flask, Git-fu


• A structured approach to problem-solving: the ability to take a broad challenge and break it down into solvable components


• Engineer’s eye for automation, empathy for users of the data


• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prototype rapidly, and meet deadlines


• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively explain, influence, and advise with interdisciplinary partners

Essential Functions

• Build/maintain the application for internal inventory management, tracking, and business/logistics planning. .


• Build general tools and fundamental data sets that encourage self-service


• Improve and maintain the data infrastructure


• Work with varied structured, semi-structured (streaming and SOA messages), and unstructured datasets (including images)


• Reports to the VP of Quality and/or the Senior Data Scientist, Quality
