Test Engineer

Job Opportunity:

We are looking for a very driven Software Test Engineer to test our software systems, along with support on other smaller projects. The role has the opportunity to grow skills in verification and validation, user-acceptance testing (UAT), programming, and project management. This individual should enjoy challenging and analytical work and be motivated by the idea that together we can accomplish great things and make a positive contribution to society through the company’s mission. You will be reporting to the Chief Product Officer.



Responsibilities:


  • Work with stakeholders to develop unit tests and test scripts for our software products that demonstrate user requirements have been met and that the functionality tested will perform as needed;

  • Perform informal and documented UAT to provide feedback for developers on design issues and compliance with requirements;

  • Build and maintain a working library of test data that is designed to mimic the range of data considerations seen in a real-world environment and to push the performance characteristics of the platform being tested;

  • Assist in managing design review and verification to ensure design inputs meet design outputs;

  • Ensure that testing scripts are documented per regulation requirements; and

  • Execute the formal testing to meet the validation requirements of the platform being evaluated.



Requirements & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer;

  • Understanding of test methodologies and strategies (automated and manual), writing test plans/scripts, creating test cases and debugging;

  • Some experience with Unix/GNU/Linux administration;

  • At least 1 year of experience as a software developer;

  • Experience with formal development of software validation documentation a plus;

  • An eye for quality and highly detail oriented;

  • Good communication and excellent technical writing skills.
