DevOps Engineer

Job Description

The ideal DevOps Engineer is a seasoned self-starter with an extreme interest in technology and the Internet. The DevOps Engineer works closely with the Engineering team to execute the vision of the company. The ideal candidate has experience managing cloud infrastructure and supporting highly scalable internet and data applications.

Responsibilities


  • Take an active part in maintaining a production environment 

  •  Provide support in monitoring, incident reports, identification of issues and mitigation, and improving the reliability of our services. 

  • Proactively identify issues in security and always find ways to harden our system. 

  • Create, innovate and maintain our CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Ensure that our systems and tools are always updated and patched.

  • Ensure that each of our DevOps tools meets industry standards and is well-supported by the Opensource community.



Qualifications


  •  5+ years of experience managing infrastructure 

  • 3+ years of experience in software development 

  • Self-motivated individual/leader looking for challenging work material in a dynamic team environment

  • Strong communication skills a must with abilities to interact with both technical and non-technical client personnel

  • Strong background in managing and maintaining large scale Linux environments 

  • Experience with AWS/GCloud/Azure 

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell) 

  • Experience with CI tools (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI, Codeship)

  • Experience with monitoring tools 

  • Experience with Nginx, Apache, Mysql, MongoDB, Redis, Postgres

  • Experience with Docker
