Salesforce Business Application Manager

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Project Management (40%)


  • Collaborate with business users and managers during the project initiation phase defining scope and setting project and feature backlog priorities

  • Develop detailed business and functional requirements, including use cases, user stories, wireframes, object and process models, and flow charts

  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing and end user training

  • End-to-end project management of small to mid-sized projects

  • Provide ongoing consulting and expertise in key areas of focus

  • Provide Salesforce Administration and data management services ensuring data cleanliness and integrity



App Builder (30%)


  • Design and create custom logic and functionality using point and click administration

  • Assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes



Administrator (30%)


  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports, dashboards, workflows, process builder logic, and other routine tasks

  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades

  • Manage Salesforce.com data feed and other integrations

  • Maintain multiple sandboxes with active developments

  • Maintain data integrity



Required Skills


  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, process builder, lightning flow, custom views, and other content of complexity

  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes

  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

  • Stay current on Salesforce.com products and skills as they pertain to our environment

  • Must have excellent problem solving, documentation and communication skills

  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards



Required Experience

Must have 2 years of previous Salesforce.com business analyst experience developing detailed business & functional requirements, conducting User Acceptance Testing and end user training as well as 2 years of previous Salesforce.com app builder experience.


  • Previous experience developing requirements for Salesforce projects or implementations

  • Previously responsibility for point and click administration of mission critical system (ex: ERP, CRM, CMS etc.)

  • Previous CRM administration (Salesforce/MS Dynamics) experience

  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion

  • Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified preferred



Pluses


  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred

  • Previous experience working with highly customized Salesforce platforms

  • Basic WordPress development skills.

  • Additional technical competencies in software development and system implementation.

  • Familiarity with marketing automation systems, elearning platforms like Moodle, and productivity tools like Confluence.
