We’re seeking a full-time and experienced Web Developer to help drive the continuous growth of this established and respected company. An exciting variety of projects include applications, customer-facing websites, plus exciting and innovative web services.



Main job tasks and responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the website and online services (public and internal) to both enhance existing functionality and introduce new functionality


• Work with colleagues including our Senior Web Developer, Web Designer, and Marketing Manager to continuously improve the user experience


• Maintain and continuously enhance online security of the purchasing, ordering, customer database, and related systems


• Self-manage tasks and projects ensuring timely delivery


• Gain a full understanding of current web technologies in use


• Document processes and structures


• Support colleagues and their understanding of the online systems

Experience

• 3+ years of commercial experience


• PHP, including a framework such as Laravel


• Javascript, including VueJS or similar


• HTML, CSS using a preprocessor


• GIT


• AWS instance management, including the set-up of Linux web server running NGINX


• Knowledge of OOP or ability to use the best software and application development practices


• Familiarity with Virtual Environments such as Vagrant, Homestead


• Best practices for all development and project management duties, including Agile

Preferable skills (bonus but not essential)

• macOS development environment


• Use of JIRA


• Use of GitFlow
