Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails

You will create products you can be proud of, and that our users love. You will work mostly with Rails, and will be encouraged to get involved in some Elixir, frontend JS, and infrastructure as it suits you. You'll take ownership of product development from a high level: from product discovery and planning through implementation, release, and iteration.

  • Implement and release products and features with Ruby on Rails

  • Write and maintain automated test coverage

  • Conduct peer code reviews

  • Collaborate with peers on software design and planning

  • Attend occasional customer visits, and contribute to product development discussions with your own ideas.



Requirements


  • Experience with Ruby on Rails. You may know rake from rack, Sidekiq from CanCan, Unicorn from Puma, or your own favourite gems.

  • This role is open to early mid-level through to senior candidates: the role and scope of responsibilities will be tailored to your experience.

  • Enthusiasm for automated test coverage as a way to maintain code quality and velocity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • You've made some mistakes and learned from them

  • Relentlessly curious and driven to keep learning.
