About Me

My name is Nicolae and I am a full-stack web developer accustomed to working with the following technologies: JavaScript, React, Redux, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Tailwind, SQL, PostgreSQL, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails.
I am a European Citizen, born in ...Bootstrap, Tailwind, SQL, PostgreSQL, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails.
I am a European Citizen, born in Romania. I am a resident of the UK. I’m a digital nomad, currently located in Asunción, Paraguay.
I was a firefighter for 10 years. I spent this time working in big teams in a stressful, fast-paced environment, so even before working as a developer, I was already very good at juggling the empathy, communication and work ethic needed in the dev world.

Originally starting as a self-taught developer for the past 3 years, last year I decided to dedicate myself to a full-time remote web developer training program at Microverse. Through Microverse’s intensive program, web developers gain experience working remotely, while pair-programming with other software engineers around the world. Program participants often work across time zones, leveraging excellent communication skills showing empathy while reviewing pair code, solving different algorithm and data structure challenges, sharing project status updates, planning daily workflow, creating solid documentation, attending daily standups, and following industry-standard git-flow. I had coding partners from all over the world, such as Cairo, Rio de Janeiro, Lagos, Dubai, Mexico and many more. The projects I worked on included front-end, back-end, and full-stack projects using JavaScript, React, Redux, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Tailwind, SQL, PostgreSQL, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails. I am also proficient in other technologies such as Webpack, Jest, Rspec, Netlify, Heroku, Git, and GitHub.
