Project Objective

The project aimed at the incident management related to EDW Applications, maintaining SLAs as per BAU.

Project Description

The client is one of major insurance company in Australia. It provides the insurance plans to the peoples in AU and NZ regions. Enterprise data Intelligence is a central system that manages the various customer details of customer from various upstream. Then exports target application specific files and distributes them globally.

Role and Responsibilities

• Resolving incidents reported by users within SLAs as per BAU.

• Requirement analysis as per business parameters set by the clients.

• Enhancement of code for the functionalities as per business needs assigned to me.

• Validation of codes and testing for new business scenarios.

• Extract and generate reconciliation reports as per business needs.

• Migration of successful test results in PROD using proper change management.

• Performing health-checks on applications and application maintenance in PROD.

• Performing Year end activities for smooth BAU.

• Update the status on daily/weekly/monthly basis to the reporting manager.

· Diagnose system problems, define and co-ordinate the implementation of solutions individually with other development and support teams.

· Involved in incident, problem and change management.

· We receive counterparty data via files like csv and excel. This data is reconciled against clients own data using a tool called IVP recon. The tool helps perform automatic reconciliation of data on a daily basis. Automation of reconciliation needs to be setup by analyzing the files and defining the key columns that will be used to compare data from both sides

· Working closely with counterparts in the Infrastructure and R&D organizations, this organization provides a global team of engineers monitoring cloud service availability and ready to swiftly repair any service-impacting issues. This objective is met by monitoring the services, reacting to problems, and proactively addressing issues before they affect performance or availability.
When not fighting fires, the team is responsible for fire prevention through monitoring, automation, self-healing and resiliency initiatives, destructive testing, and game day exercises. The incumbent in this role would demonstrate a strong focus on tactical operations, as well as large-scale production engineering and orchestration.
