Currently most of the government entities maintain their own user management and provisioning processes and their own user repositories; this results in having multiple identities for each citizen across government systems. Multiple identities are difficult to maintain and inhibits sharing of information between government entities. Therefore, there is a need for a cross-gov solution that allows unified access to multiple government websites using a single unique identity.
