Description: The World Service Technologies is an application used by Amex Customer Service Representatives to provide services to card members when they call in for any services .There are various sub applications within WST. Listing below the applications that I worked: World Service Data Warehouse / MicroStrategy/ Webfocus: World Service Data warehouse serves the Data warehouse requirements of all the applications on WST and is based on IBMs DB2. The coding for data loading and transformations are done via Informatica and employs front end reporting capabilities via MicroStrategy and Webfocus reporting tool which enables the business to pull the data from WSDW and present them in the form of reports and dashboards so as to enable BI decision making. Compass Compass is a wellestablished performance management and coaching tool, and is used by the Customers, Customer CCPs (Customer Care Professionals) , Team Leads, Directors and vicepresidents access Compass to view performance and quality results using tailored views. Roles & responsibilities: • Involved in activities like: o Data ware house testing ensuring that the application data has been transferred correctly into DW and DM tables. Ensures that the data warehouse data is reflecting in reports. o Analyzing and writing test scripts for both sprints (agile) and SIT (waterfall). o Validating file feed from application. o Validating stage level tables against the file feed o Validating DW level tables against stage data o Validating DM tables against DW table data o Writing SQL queries to fetch data from tables. o Validating report using the reporting tools like microstrategy and webfocus with the data fetched from Datamart tables o Finding bugs and ensuring speedy resolution (Through mails, calls, QC, etc.) o Preparing reports like Defect Statistics and Tracking, Weekly and daily status reports o Attending daily stand up meetings and Meeting with Business and Development teams to get proper understanding of the application
