Description

Spearheaded a team of 7 researchers, and 10 software programmers, both in-house and off-shore, to design and co-develop cloud computingsolutions for health analytics from face video and brain training games; comprising AWS, Matlab MCR, and Angular/Yii based CMS dashboards, andmobile app view (Android/iOS). Essentially involved in the conception, data acquisition (clinical: epilepsy, ADHD, dementia, dyspraxia, dyslexia, OCD,anxiety, stress, brain injury, brain tumor, and non-clinical: workplace stress, memory, attention, cognition), noise/artefact removal, data analysis, feature extraction, statistical analysis, feature selection, modeling, and neurofeedback. Developed the initial minimum viable product (MVP) basedon analytical results from data processing pipelines. Trained the software programmers and handed over the MVP to them to further develop andupdate in order to commercialize the big data health analytics product. Track your mental health at brain9d.com and as a Brain9D mobile app.

Description

Directed the product development cycle and developed data pipelines, from conception to market ready, for QEEG Software Suite deployed using Matlab MCR for research and clinical use; became one of the flagship consulting service products of CISIR-HICoE, comprising of a version forresearchers and another for clinicians. The product showcases complete in-house contribution of 10 researchers assisted by 10 softwareprogrammers. Principally involved in the concept to launch, mentored the researchers and programmers hands-on throughout the implementationand deployment process Utilizing total grant money of US$ 50K approx. An estimated profit of US$ 50K – US$ 100K per quarter; sales start in 2020.

Description

Managed project scope, goals, designed proof of concept (PoC/MVP), defined project milestones and to ensure consistency with CISIR and collaborators’ (UniTen + SESB: Sabah Electric Supply Berhad, Malaysia) strategy and commitments for a product (VegMon: A deep learning basedforest vegetation monitoring system to detect their encroachment over electric power lines using satellite/drone imagery). Assisted the primaryresearcher in algorithm optimization, accuracy improvement using convolutional neural networks (CNN), final product implementation, patentfiling, and scientific publications. Designed, trained the team, and co-developed the final user interface and functionality testing. The project wasfunded by the ministry of energy green technology and water (KeTTHA), Malaysia. Net spending over this huge project was US$ 100K, and theproduct was delivered on time. Won Gold medal at 27th International Invention & Innovation Exhibition (ITEX 2016) held in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
