Fab Eye is a new product based on Data Science and Big Data technologies. It comprises of an Analytical Engine which reviews historic data of the equipment’s in the Fab and provides insights on their sub processing areas to the Equipment Engineers. Based on trends, the tool summarizes location variances per equipment across the fleet and indicates unmatched locations. Also displays which parameters are important for location mismatch and UPH (Units/Hour) opportunities based on their past behavior. The system supports the following use cases which benefits Equipment Engineers Team:

  • IE cycle time distractors
  • Litho Lot disposition time

The use cases are employed with Descriptive analysis. The product leverages on Kafka for message communication, Spark for processing engine, ELasticsearch NOSQL for storage and Kibana for visualization.

Description

A Casino has 3000+ Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs) used by the casino players 24/7. Each EGM has Embedded Software and Gaming Software. Bally Command Centre (BCC) Application was a fairly complex application consisting of server software components running in Windows servers and client components running in the EGMs. BCC remotely managed the EGMs in the Casino Floor. Its key functions included:

  • Downloading of gaming, embedded and other utility software on the EGMs
  • Downloading of marketing content on the EGMs
  • Configuration of game parameters on the EGM
  • Automatic discovery of EGMs and associated systems
  • Tracking of games installations & EGM status and sending of alerts

The BCC application allowed users to remotely manage the EGMs on the game floor by creating easy and customized templates. Users could configure these templates to automatically manage downloading and installation of packages on the EGM. The software was compliant with Casino industry Game to System standard.
