Working as Dev-DBA for Clydesdale Bank from offshore India . CB deals with bank customer processing in United Kingdom. Dev-DBA stands for Oracle Developer and handling some DBA related work. After acquisition of Virgin Money by CB , development started for migration existing virgin money customer to CB portfolio. A little DBA works involves user provisioning for multiple database and different schema.

The CLASS systems allow the customer to have a Loan Account set up, Payments made, Interest Accrued and Repayments applied. Users are mainly business Services, Finance, Repayment, Collections, Front Line Support etc. CLASS is used throughout the entire Customer Journey, as well as the Business Journey. It Stores application data, course data, bank details, account information, etc.

Around 3TB of data in the CLASS database is stored and it process interest, arrears, payments, transfers, repayments, credits. Interacting with external systems like BACS, HMRC, SAAS, DWP. Used many key features of PL/Sql for handling billions of data for processing.

Worked as Programmer Analyst for First Data as Client. First data deals with credit card processing in United States majorly. Our reporting CLGC is mainly in Gift Cards. We use to generate daily, weekly, by-weekly, monthly reports to all the clients of First Data Co-operation like Wal-Mart, MC-Donalds, Starbucks, Ruby Tuesday and many more. Many of the reports are triggered off from Perl Scripts.

Some of them involve writing of reports in shell script with sql scripts within.

The system titled R-PACS is a web based application which facilitates the BT (British Telecom) agents to plan and configure the logical inventory for their customers. It integrates with other subsystems for order placing.

Responsibilities: Currently is part of Delivery. Worked in Database Development in Oracle 10g.XML files which were pumped from other system,

parsing and validation of the same, also worked in Performance tuning. Looking after live issues which slow down the database, identifying the worse area and tuning the queries by understanding the explain plan.

Delivery:

As a Backend Developer in Delivery team, carried out the following responsibilities:

• Writing the optimised code for the given requirement following all coding standards.
• Handling all the database related issues. Carrying out the inlife change

• Handling all the faults rose during CIT and SIT.
• Unit testing
• Preparation of object impacted & Low level design documents.

Worked on OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligent Enterprise Edition) (previously called Siebel Analytics) a web based report generation tool. This tool was first introduced into our project to generate reports for capacity management. We generated many reports which earlier use to produce stand alone via Pl/Sql code. Automated the process of generating report and sending the reports via E-mail called i-Bots in OBIEE terms. Did RnD on this tool and configured it to suit our projects.
