Created IOT data platform to communicate, read, poll and control devices over network using different industrial protocols such as MODBUS, DNP3, IEC-104 etc and stream this data to kafka for top layer for visualisation on dashboards.

Used java 8, multithreaded environment, Kafka, redis, Postgres, Mongo DB for the same.

Read data from kafka and push to data base into real time data base and long term databases. Data from kafka was in JSON format and coded to application to be schema independent and push to DB irrespective of database type.

Drivers were independent applications which would be specific to communication protocol. Translated the protocol standards into java code and organised the packets and headers in order to make it communicate with devices seamlessly.

Completed 5 different drivers in the past 1 and a half years.
