Sr. Linux/Application support Lead

Responsibilities:

• Providing wallstreet application support on FX project, which is running on the RedHat Linux and troubleshooting the app/os related issues on SAND, DEMO and Data migration environment.
• Managing/handling/Creating various Tickets through Service now.
• Enabling DHCP, DNS and allocating subnets through Infoblox
• Linux OS Installation, Configuration and documentation through RedHatSatellite Server
• Responsible for patching and upgrading RHEL servers from 5.x to 5.11 and 6.x to 6.5.
• Co-ordinating with SAN team for allocating new LUNS.
• Decommission of Old Linux servers
• Patching the wallstreet application through PRO-IV interface using login_tos.
• WSS-process management like Recovery, Shutdown, startup and verification process.
• Co-ordinating with the ION team for Security turnover and patching turnover process.
• Database updates are done by editing the parameter key GDPPARAMETERS using the database function login_tos.
• Creating incidents/request tickets using Issue Management System (IIMS) Portal.
• Co-ordination and escalation with vendor regarding any issues related to WSS app.
• Ion provides a instruction guide and SQL file that will allow us to purge transactional data from the system. This should only be used on non-production systems. We will need to work with Ion if we need to run against production. Run wss_invclear. sql file/start on linux app server.
• Technical documentation and Update the process management in the internal bank Wiki.

• Responsible Creating LPAR Increasing Memory, CPU and filesystem in AIX through HMC console and detecting and setting attributes to the new provisioned LUNs.
• Responsible for Deployment, Maintenance, Patching Live Linux Servers, and AIX servers through BMC BladeLogic
• Responsible Installing agents like Autosys, ESM, SSM, Guardian, Oracle client on Linux and Aix servers.
• Responsible for Installation of EMC Power Path Configuration and removing dead paths
• Use of networking protocols and performance monitoring using netstat, vmstat,iostat,topetc
• Responsible Project coordination, resource allocation, planning, forecasting.
