AccuWeather D3 (Data Driven Decisions)
Preprocessed historical weather data and built consumer facing website for our client AccuWeather’s D3 Express product. Developed using the ASP.NET framework, Python, JavaScript, and Azure.
Achievement Highlights:
- Worked under a pseudo-ScrumBan pattern for Company specific project management, allowing the AccuWeather project changes to take priority without sacrifice to the in-house proprietary product.
- Discovered limitations when using Python to extract large, ~20GB, compressed file from Azure Block Blob Storage. Each file expanded to ~85GB, and the entire process consumed over a petabyte of data in a 4 month running/changing process.
