Expanded Company’s eCommerce platform working with ReactJS/Redux accompanied by Python flask microservices with feature driven deployment cycles. Optimized site to allow the 12 domains in 7 languages with 25,000 daily visitors to have internationalized sales utilizing Contentful and Phraseapp with nearly $50m in yearly revenue.

Achievement Highlights:

• Acted as a servant leader in facilitating the scrum ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Sprint-Planning, Sprint Review/Demo, Retro).

• Collaborate closely with graphic design team to create fast, functional, attractive interfaces, approved by the product owners.

• Reduced shopping cart abandonment rate by 15% overall on international domains.

Duke Energy

DevTeam Lead and XP Coach to a self-organized, cross-functional dev team, while assisting both the product owner and DevTeam with personas, story writing, task identification, CI/CD, vision alignment, and general agility. Focused efforts on building team specific continuous planning during [Pre-]Planning Ceremonies, fixed & war-room Tech Groomings for time-boxed, predictable velocity sprints.

Achievement Highlights:

• Lead development efforts in creating the enterprise solution for real-time machine learning model deployments, through tech groomings, war-room planning, and incremental builds.

• Cooperatively designed and built Duke Energy Innovation’s highest yielding product, the Work Order Optimization & Prioritization (WOPr) management system, built on top of Maximo Asset Management with dependencies requiring a project specific Scrum-of-Scrums environment

• Managed inter-product dependencies not requiring a scrum-of-scrum or meta-scrum planning by placing software team leads in other product team’s daily standup and in planning ceremonies as a visitor.

AccuWeather D3 (Data Driven Decisions)

Preprocessed historical weather data and built consumer facing website for our client AccuWeather’s D3 Express product. Developed using the ASP.NET framework, Python, JavaScript, and Azure. 

Achievement Highlights:

• Worked under a pseudo-ScrumBan pattern for Company specific project management, allowing the AccuWeather project changes to take priority without sacrifice to the in-house proprietary product.
• Discovered limitations when using Python to extract large, ~20GB, compressed file from Azure Block Blob Storage. Each file expanded to ~85GB, and the entire process consumed over a petabyte of data in a 4 month running/changing process.

DeltaBravo.ai

Developed Company’s front-end framework with Ember.js middleware in Revel/Golang connected to an InfluxDB backend, with forecasting service built with flask/Python. Performed time series forecasting on 125 database metrics.
