I led the requirements analysis of 100+ ECM application legacies and the provisioning of the Oracle RAC databases, its middleware and storage servers in the new data center, I produced / signed-off the applications' infrastructure design documentation, I coordinated the complex and changing set of migration and upgrade tasks with the DBA, Linux, Wintel and apps teams, and I adapted/fixed the applications in its new environment. I served also as tech support of application legacies and new environments when needed. To migrate and upgrade the applications, programs are created and/or executed using shell scripts, XML, java, schedulers and, SQL (PL/SQL) scripts for the complex queries and data structure changes. To track product direction, releases and issues/requests, Confluence and JIRA are used.

Handled both production and non-production databases, critical ones sized 125Gb (HR) and 750Gb (FIN); monitored and managed the disk space, user accounts & security, data migrations, long running processes, and alert logs daily as required; done database refreshes, cloning, backups, decommissioning, audits and table/index reorg at scheduled intervals; handled Oracle Retail installs, patches and customizations with its Oracle Database and Fusion Middleware servers; handled Oracle EBS database with its backend services; completed many DBA trainings (online and classroom, trainer for some); and resolved issues and addressed requests of other infrastructure areas (workstation, server, network and security). For all, I used skills and tools like SQL, SQL Loader, RMAN, TOAD, unix shells/commands and database parameters.

Coordinated firewall requirements to enable applications, coordinated connectivity requirements (sizing, testing, equipment provisioning and vpn), coordinated NDA requirements associated with network security, coordinated hardware provisioning (data center, PCs, servers, laser printer), coordinated data storage requirements (space calculations - managed and unmanaged, backup and contingency expectations), coordinated software requirements (tools, connectivity, common firewall issues), Managed Oracle database administration related tasks, Managed Unix system related tasks, Managed File Servers tasks, Source Control, Workstation issues; and accommodated other project requests as value-added service. For all, I used skills and tools like SQL, Unix shells/commands, Windows batch commands, MSOffice Suite, and a free TCP/IP snooping tool.

I led the db support of a Teradata analytics platform, I worked on processes and programs that extract, transform and load (ETL) large data, I monitored backend jobs daily and weekly, I handled data file archives/transfers' abends and userlist maintenance jobs, I backed up database objects' structure and unix files in production, I addressed change requests and defect fixes and, I maintained the database security, all using spreadsheets, sql and/or unix scripts / commands.
