Lead Android Developer from start to finish

• Developed an innovative Android application to complement the company’s existing iOS application

• Presented the idea to management before going on to develop the first version, incorporating advanced features such as automatic upload. Use of Android Services, SQLite databases, calling REST Json/XML services, OAuth, caching of images on the phone, multiple background tasks. Implemented an improved version of AsyncTask & a simple framework for managing background tasks across a device rotate.

• Played a key role in the success of this product which generated more than 250,000 downloads and a rating of 4.3

• Contributed to 8 major Android projects, implementing new features and refactoring existing code, including the MyVodafone app, with 1M+ installs

• Lead on Yaap Shopping Android app from design to launch, a Spanish joint venture between Telefonica, Santander and CaixaBank
