In my previous roles as design, test (integration and test), systems and lead manufacturing engineer, I have gained the knowledge and experience I need to hit the ground running and start making an immediate contribution to your company.
The following are just a few highlights of my professional skills and achievements that I hope to bring to your company:
Led/designed/verified/redesigned, in a team environment, hardware systems through rigorous space requirements, verifying/validating flight hardware (drawing/schematics of cables & connectors) to test the entire NASA Land Sat 9 Earth Observation Satellite and also the NASA Restore L EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment). These have been my contributions to the last two contracts for the last two years. I’m looking for a full-time opportunity, and I’m very interested in being considered for an opportunity with your company.
Selected parts meeting very strict space environment requirements, EMC/EMI shielding for connectors, conductors and satellite system components, ascertaining that connectors would not contain cadmium which outgases in ThermoVac. Received a proactive leadership award by an Air Force customer for finding a workaround on 2 electronic PC Boards, saving from 2 1/2 months to a week and $200,000+. At General Dynamics (GD), I designed an RF test rack that successfully tested a DSP Satellite, and saved over $250,000 by repurposing GFE assets, instead of procuring new equipment. Wrote test procedures/successfully delivered PDR, CDR, TRR pre-ship/pre-launch reviews. Participated in a successful launch and 2 weeks on-orbit test/verification.

Verified equipment was recalibrated prior to the start of single line flow testing. Successfully Performed Environmental Testing: Vibration, Echo, Shock, Thermal Vacuum/Cycle, Anechoic Chamber, EMC/EMI (Electro-Magnetic Compatibility / Electro-Magnetic Interference).
My resume will highlight many other accomplishments.
I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you to discuss how my background could make a major impact on your organization's success. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Virgilio Antonio (Tony) Villagrán

Designed 3 resistive loads that simulated ORUs (Orbital Replace Units for the Int Space Station)
Description
I designed 3 Resistive loads that required me to build a mockup in order to determine how hot the 20 (20 in long by 2 in in diameter) resistors were going to get in order to chose the correct blower to cool down this load throught the cross sectional area of theser resistors. I also used fans tor every 4 resistors to cool down these loads from one end to the other of these resistors. I also designed a pc board that controled the current settings of the switch between 0 to 100 ams at 123+/- 4 Vdc.
