Claudio was a key contributor to the SodaStream Connect project; the latest innovation project for PepsiCo, Inc, a Fortune 50 organization in the Food and Beverages space. Claudio’s skills in the technical creation of consumer- focused solutions/products were paramount in assisting the customer in the envisioning and implementation of an entire product stack, which included a consumer facing mobile app, a smart IoT appliance and a cloud-based architecture. The IoT based solution targeting the consumer space required a scalable, designed for failure, that could scale out to a global footprint. The consumer product solution is currently in beta in select markets, awaiting an impending global deployment. Claudio was a key contributor to Hatcx; an incubated, start-up-like unit of Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Nebraska. The mobile app provides an innovative solution to health care costs. Claudio was strategic to the both the mobile app development, as well as the cloud-based platform utilizing Azure as the Platform-as-a-Service backbone. It utilized Microsoft’s prescribed cloud practices for high availability, resiliency, design for failure, micro-services-oriented architectures with frequent deployments and automated self-management. Part of the initial development team, main role was to collaborate in the system design and implementation of agreenfield project for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), intended to be the Reference Model used by Government Agencies and organizations in the Behavioral Health field to manage Electronic Health Records. As a senior consultant within the team, also provided mentoring/facilitation to mid-level and junior level developers as well as “on-boarding” new senior developers/architects to come up to speed on the overall architecture of the system and design patterns/framework-specific subjects.
