Being an insurance company, it has daily processing of data for claims and billing and as the support engineer I should monitor the batches for the smooth functioning of all the jobs. Among all the streams around 20 to 25 streams are considered as the critical streams for which we have SLAs and to meet the SLA, needs to provide the continuous support for all the Informatica jobs and provide real time fixes for the production jobs to continue the processing of the batches.

This project involves design, development of data warehouse to load customer and store information from the different sources such as Oracle 11g, flat files, XML files and transforming data as per business rules and loading into data warehouse. Another phase of project involves creation of .CSV BI reports for business end users. Process involves extracting data from various relational databases as per business rules, manipulating data, loading data into intermediate staging tables, creating .CSV files and saving the files on shared drives. Summary and detail reports need to be generated. Reports contain details and aggregated metrics information as per strategic business units which are used by business users to understand market utilization and for overall strategic planning. Sample reports are to get monthly active/registered subscriber/member count, email/sms counts.
